Christmas Candle Holder
Built from scraps in the shop!
Steps to make your own:
BASE:
1) Trace a circle for the base: 4.5" diameter - 18gauge sheet metal
2) Cut out using beverly shear or hand shear
3) Smooth edges with file or sander until "reasonable" round
4) Use the torch to "soften" the metal so it can be shaped and worked "easily"
5) Use the forming stump and a ball peen hammer to add a slight bowl or cup to the metal
6) Use the air-planisher to smooth if needed

Tea Light Holder:
1) draw a circle 2.5" inches in diameter out of 18 gauge sheet metal
2) cut out using beverly sheer or snips
3) smooth edges until round
4) Cut 3 feet of 1/8" steel rod and use the torch to "soften" the metal
5) Use the pictured Jig (2" pipe with hole on the side) to bend your 1/8" rod into a "spring". Keep it tight together with as small gaps as possible
6) Cut off excess rod with hacksaw or bolt cutters and weld to the smaller diameter circle

Front "Gift" Shape
1) 18 gauge sheet metal. Cut Piece 4" tall. Bottom measurement 2.25". Top measurement 3.5" (You an change this shape to anything you want! It doesn't have to be a present or be the same size as what I made!)

3) Drill or punch 1/4" holes throughout as shown in the image to allow candle light to shine through
4) Ribbon pieces. You will need 3 pieces: the front ribbon, the back ribbon, and a little piece to wrap them together and attach to the "gift" shape.
6) Paint a base coat of primer before adding detailed paint
7) Light a candle

- Front Ribbon. It can look like a bow tie
- Back Ribbon. Bow tie but with extra length to fold behind (see picture)
- Tie together piece: 5" long - 3/8" wide

7) Light a candle
