Robot Soccer
Each group will create a robot that is capable of playing soccer.
Robots may have arms, legs, helicopters, etc. Anything that helps you hit a ball into a net to win points. As soon as a point it scored the ball the timer will pause and the ball will be reset in the middle of the field.
"Face-off" for the ball will be similar to hockey instead of one team beginning the play. Total game length will be 2 minutes.
Robots are not allowed to camp in front of the "net". They can move back and forth but are not allowed to stop right in front of the
There will be two competitions for this:
-1 vs 1
-2 vs 2
Size restrictions:
Robots may not be bigger than 8" x 10"
Suggestions. Begin by making the CLAWBOT with the included instructions. That gives you a basic drivetrain (using 2 motors) that allows you to go forward and turn easily. If you want to incorporate extra motors, gears, etc than you can but do the math first to determine if you will be building for torque, speed, or both.
You may use any of the supplied parts in your robot bin.
As usually please keep track of your parts and keep them organized
