The below "plans" are what I sketched out and used as a starting point for my build. I did have to change a few things along the way but these pictures act as a good starting point and can be modified to fit the material you have chosen:
I designed this bench to fit myself. Taller people might want a larger bench.
My Materials:
1x2 tubing for the diagonal frame pieces
3/4" tubing from recycled railings for the back and butt support frame
22" of 2x2 tubing for the feet
Miscellaneous Flat Bar (4" wide mostly) for the center brackets and stop block spikes
3/8" fasteners in various lengths
3/8" solid round for the "custom hitch pins"
1/4" plate steel for the butt support adjustments
3/4" plywood for the bench
2" foam
Waterproof textured faux leather upholstery fabric
