Micro Rocket Stove Project
Micro Rocket stove design brief
Materials given: (more available upon request depending on design/cost)
2x2 x 0.125” x 14” long square tubing
1” x 0.125 x 10” long flat bar
4” x 0.125” x 4” long Flat Bar
0.5” x 6” long Solid Round
Prior to any cutting we need to create and plan out a prototype. I suggest using paper/cardboard to mock up your materials and then cut out based on a side/profile view of the stove. You will need to show and explain this to the teacher prior to cutting any metal.
The stove will probably need a feed tube for wood, exhaust/air flow, a burn tunnel and a heat riser.
Notes/Research:
To find the most efficient design you should do some research, make different sketches, draw full size plans, and be ready to adapt or make changes. I recommend working with your table group to research and come up with the best design so you can be successful with this project.
You will also need to be able to balance a 6” diameter pot of water on top. You will want some sort of support system to hold pots, pans, or a grill.
Required:
Full size plans drawn on paper
Full size paper prototype/templates
Explanation of what each part of your stove is for and how it helps
