Your scene should tell a story. Don’t just have a bunch of figures or objects standing around. You should find a way to convey MOVEMENT and the viewer should almost instantly be able to tell what is happening.
Can’ draw? Remember that this project will be made from wire and scraps so drawing stick figures is perfectly fine.
Must Include:
You must have an approved and detailed sketch outlining all the required “Must Include” objects. You should draw the object life size so you can easily measure and transfer your ideas into metal.
You may be asked to make a 2nd sketch if more detail is required.

Must Include:
- A base or ground (made from scrap sheet metal)
- At least one figure (animal, human, vehicle, bike, sports player, musician, etc)
- Accessories (clothing, armor, furniture, etc)
- A sense of movement (jumping, kicking a ball, swinging a bat, etc)
- People can be made from three pieces: Arms/hands, Legs/feet, Body/head. Keeping it simple will make assembly and welding easier as well as force you to think about your design before cutting. You do not have unlimited metal for this!
